    • A thermal spray mending material effective for applying a dense thermal spray mending layer having a high crystallization ratio immediately after thermal spraying in a broad thermal spray condition can be provided. A flame spray mending material with an oxide concentration of 89% by weight or more of SiO2, more than 2.0 to 4.0% by weight of Na2O and/or more than 0.2 to 4.0% by weight of Li2O, having a 80% or more crystallization ratio after thermal spraying and a 200 kgf/cm or more compression strength. Further, a thermal spray mending material effective for applying a dense thermal spray mending layer having a high crystallization ratio immediately after thermal spraying even if a slight amount of CaO is contained can be provided. A flame spray mending material with an oxide concentration of 89% by weight or more of SiO2, more than 2.0 to 5.0% by weight of CaO, 0.5 to 4.0% by weight of Na2O and/or more than 0.2 to 4.0% by weight of Li2O, and 1.0% by weight of less of Al2O3, having a 80% or more crystallization ratio after flame spraying and a 200 kgf/cm or more compression strength.

    • A flame-spraying repair material which exhibits a high crystallinity just after the flame spraying and is effective in forming a dense repair layer by flame spraying under wide flame-spraying conditions. This material comprises, in terms of oxide, at least 89 wt.% of SiO 2, and 2.0 (exclusive) to 4.0 wt.% of Na 2 O and/or 0.2 (exclusive) to 4.0 wt.% of Li 2 O, and exhibiting a crystallinity of 80 % or above and a compression strength of 200 kgf/cm 2 or above after the flame spraying. Another flame-spraying repair material which exhibits a high crystallinity just after the flame spraying and is effective in forming a dense repair layer by flame spraying in spite of its containing more or less CaO. This material comprises, in terms of oxide, at least 89 wt.% of SiO 2, 2.0 (exclusive) to 5.0 wt.% of CaO, 0.5 to 4.0 wt.% of Na 2 O and/or 0.2 (exclusive) to 4.0 wt.% of Li 2 O, and at most 1.0 wt.% of Al 2 O 3, and exhibiting a crystallinity of 80 % or above and a compression strength of 200 kgf/cm 2 or above after the flame spraying.
