    • PURPOSE: Provided are a crystal polymorphism of nafamostat mesilate useful as drugs and a method for producing the same. CONSTITUTION: The crystal polymorphism of nafamostat mesilate is characterized in that it shows strong diffraction peaks at 17.0, 18.4, 19.3, 19.9, 20.9, 24.3, and 26.3 degrees at a diffraction angle (2θ±0.1 degree) in the powder X-ray diffraction pattern. The method for producing crystal polymorphism of nafamostat mesilate comprises the process of performing phase inversion of nafamostat mesilate showing strong diffraction peaks or specific peaks at 9.0, 13.0, 17.1, 18.1, 19.3, 19.8, 20.2, 21.4, 22.4, 23.4 and 23.7 degrees at a diffraction angle (2θ±0.1 degree) in the powder X-ray diffraction pattern in the state that the nafamostat mesilate is suspended in alcohol.
