    • This invention provides a laminated material with information recorded thereon which is excellent in design and security and can be produced at low cost. A laminated material (10) comprises a microsphere fixed layer (12), a reflecting layer (14), and a transparent resin layer (16). The microsphere fixed layer (12) comprises a large number of transparent microspheres (18) aligned and disposed in an embedded state with a part of each of the transparent microspheres (18) being exposed. The reflecting layer (14) is provided at an approximately focal position of the transparent microspheres (18). The transparent resin layer (16) is provided on at least a part of the surface of the microsphere fixed layer (12) on its transparent microsphere (18) exposed side. The laminated material (10) is characterized in that the focal position of the transparent microspheres (18) is shifted by the transparent resin layer (16) to lower the retroreflectance in its shifted part and information has been recorded by taking advantage of a difference in retroreflectance between the transparent resin layer (16) provided part and the transparent resin layer-free part.
