    • PURPOSE: An air conditioning system for a vehicle is provided to protect passenger's health from bad effects caused by a leakage of a refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioning system for a vehicle comprises a heat exchanger(201) for exchanging heat between a refrigerant and air to be blown into a passenger compartment; an air conditioning case(101) accommodating the heat exchanger and defining a bypass channel(105), and a channel through which air having passed through the heat exchanger flows; and an air cleanliness degree-detecting unit for detecting a cleanliness degree of air inside the passenger compartment. The bypass channel directs air downstream of the heat exchanger by bypassing the heat exchanger. When the air cleanliness degree detected by the air cleanliness degree-detecting unit decreases to or below a predetermined value, a refrigerant leaking mode is performed, in which air having passed through the bypass channel is blown in a direction closer to a driver and the air having passed through the heat exchanger is blown in a direction farther from the driver.
