    • A rubber composition for a coolant hose of an automobile and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to show the insulation with high resistance against surface current generated from an engine, together with improved physicochemical properties and processability. The rubber composition is manufactured by admixing 75 parts by weight of carbon black, 5 parts by weight of zinc oxide, 1 parts by weight of stearic acid, 20 parts by weight of process oil, 2 parts by weight of a processing aid and 4 parts by weight of a tackifier to 100 parts by weight of masticated Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer(EPDM) in a mixer for 8 minutes and then for 2 minutes; admixing thereto, 7.8 parts by weight of a vulcanization accelerator and 1 parts by weight of a vulcanizing agent for 2 minutes; cooling the admixture for 15 minutes; and aging the admixture at a temperature of 25 deg.C for 6 hours in a constant temperature chamber.

    • The present invention relates to an EPDM composition for a car cooling hose and a non-purge method of manufacturing a car cooling hose using the same. The EPDM composition for the car cooling hose includes 100 parts by weight of EPDM, 75 parts by weight of carbon black, 40 parts by weight of mixed silica, 40 parts by weight of paraffin-based plasticizer, 4 parts by weight of zinc oxide, 0.5 parts by weight of amine-based antiaging agent, 2 parts by weight of phenol-based antiaging agent, 0.4 parts by weight of sulfonamide-based accelerator, 0.8 parts by weight of thiazole-based accelerator, 0.9 parts by weight of zinc dialkyldithiophosphate, 0.6 parts by weight of zinc amine dialkyldithiophosphate, 4 parts by weight of organic peroxide vulcanizing agent, 1.5 parts by weight of vulcanization assisting agent, and 0.7 parts by weight of sulfur. By using the composition, a purge process for removing oxygen during vulcanization is not necessary for the manufacture of the car cooling hose. Thus, the production process of the car cooling hose may be shortened, and productivity may be improved and manufacturing costs may be reduced.
