    • A flameproof polyester type synthetic hair filament and a process for preparing the same are provided to raise the flame-retardant and heat-resistant properties superior to the human hair by using PCT (Poly-Cyclohexane-dimethylene Terephthalate) series resin compound, and to prevent the yarn from breaking at the spinning process. A flame-retardant polyester type synthetic hair filament consists of the PCT series resin of 100 parts, polymer type bromine series flame-retardant of 15-40 parts, antimony-oxide of 0.05-1 part, and the quencher of 0.05-2 parts. The PCT series resin is the PCT polymer or the copolymer of the cyclohexane-dimethylene- terephthalate and the cyclohexane-dimethylene-isophthalate, and has the IV(Intrinsic Viscosity) of 0.7-1.2 deciliter per gram at room temperature. The polymer type bromine series flame-retardant is composed of a repeat-unit having a degree of polymerization ranged from 17 to 100, and has a number averaged molecular weight ranged from 10000 to 60000. The antimony-oxide is composed of antimony-trioxide having average particle size of 0.1-1.0 mum. The quencher is the carbon-dioxide or talc, or the mixture thereof. Further, an average diameter of the quencher is 0.01 to 1.0 mum.

Polyvinyl chloride fiber is obtained by the steps of: mixing 2.5-3.0pts.wt. of an organic tartar type thermal stabilizer, 0.5-1.0pts.wt. of a lubricant and 1.5-2.0pts.wt. of a finishing auxiliaries with 100pts.wt. of polyvinyl chloride to manufacture a powder resin composition; manufacturing pellets out of the powder resin composition in a compounder installed a screw having 1.9-2.1 of screw compression ratio; and then spinning the pellets with a spinning machine installed a screw having 2.0-2.2 of the screw compression ratio.

A manufacturing method of the Polyphenylene sulfide-based synthetic hair filament includes the following steps of: manfuactruing pellet by extruding and melting compounds with the quenching agent selected from a group consisting of polyamide resin, polyester resin, and inorganic particles; drying the pellet to have moisture ratio of 500 ppm or less; and melt-spinning the dried pellet.
