An overflow prevention apparatus for a sewer comprises a body(100), a cover(200), and a filter net(300). The body has a square frame(110), hooks(120), a draining device(130) including first, second, third, and fourth surfaces(131,132,133,134), and a hinge part(140) to operate the cover by a hinge. The cover includes a rotary shaft, a horizontal surface formed at one side of the rotary shaft, and weights(230). The weights are installed to rotate the horizontal surface. The filter net is installed at the hooks with a sack shape.
