In some cases, antibacterial effects, far infrared ray radiating effects, anion emitting effects and taste improving effects can be obtained by adding various materials to the alkaline member (160).

    • PURPOSE: Provided is functional rice with functional substances permeated by spraying activated water containing calcium, tangerine, green tea, jujubes, chitosan or brown seaweeds on the surface of rice. The water is returned to the water tank(12) and sprayed through an activated water spraying hole(16). The activated water is sprayed on rice to primarily eliminate extraneous matters like bacteria, separated bran and agricultural chemical ingredients. Active water is manufactured with containing functional substances selected from among tangerines, persimmons, Japanese apricots, brown seaweeds, kelp, pine needles, ginger, jujubes, aloe, onions, mugwort, green tea, chitosan, calcium and Monascus. The functional substance contained in activated water is sprayed on the rice to secondarily eliminate extraneous matters and to permeate and attach the functional substances into the rice surface. The rice is finally dried to package.

Non-woven fiber, activated carbon, zeolite, or ocher is used as a filter material.
