    • The present invention relates to a modular pier bracing apparatus for improving seismic performance, and more particularly, a modular pier which has a bracing connected to concrete filled steel tubes in the horizontal direction and includes a steel pipe which is shorter than a distance between the concrete filled steel tubes; end plates which have a diameter larger than the diameter of the steel pipe and are connected to both ends of the steel pipe; and a connection member which is formed in a plate shape, of which one end is fixed at the central line of the end plate and the other end is fixed to the concrete filled steel tube. The modular pier bracing apparatus according to the present invention can induce plastic failure together with the connection member before the concrete filled steel tube when a lateral force is applied, maintain load resistance capacity against the lateral force which is gradually increased and increase plastic deformation to enhance seismic performance, make the concrete filled steel tubes arrive at yielding before the connection member arrives at guillotine break to utilize the entire resisting force of the concrete filled steel tube, and induce plastic deformation in steps to provide higher displacement ductility factor and energy absorbing capacity.

    • PURPOSE: A method and a pharmaceutical composition for inducing cell apoptosis are provided to overexpress proteins containing SET domains and to lower cell viability. CONSTITUTION: A method for inducing cell apoptosis comprises a step of overexpressing proteins containing SET domains of amino acid sequence number 1. The proteins are setd3 of sequence number 2. A pharmaceutical composition for inducing cell apoptosis contains the proteins or a gene encoding the same as an active ingredient.
