    • PURPOSE: A heat-resistant ceramics for microwave is provided to reduce moisture dehydration rate of cooked material by including ferrite which absorbs microwave and vents heat. CONSTITUTION: A heat-resistant ceramics for microwave is manufactured by hardening molded mud at high temperature. The mud comprises 13-17 weight% of ferrite, 13-17 weight% of talc, 3-7 weight% of silicon carbide, 50-60 weight% of clay produced in San-cheong area, and 7-12 weight% of alumina. The ferrite is solid solution which impurities or alloying elements are dissolved in body-centered cubic crystal structured iron cooled under 900deg.C. The silicon carbide is composed of silicon and carbon in 1:1 ratio and combined using strong covalent bond, thereby having high hardness and specific thermal conductivity.
