    • PURPOSE: Catalyst for preparing 1-hexene and a method for preparing 1-hexene using the same are provided to save energy required for preparing 1-hexene and to prevent the use of chromium causing environmental problems. CONSTITUTION: Catalyst for preparing 1-hexene includes transition metal compound and cocatalyst compound. The transition metal compound is represented by chemical formula 1. The cocatalyst compound activates the transition metal compound by being reacted with the transition metal compound. In chemical formula 1, the M1 and the M2 are identical or different and is selected from a group including group 3 to 10 elements on the periodic table; the Cp1 and the Cp2 are identical or different and is ligand with a cyclopentadienyl structure which is substituted or non-substituted with one or more substituent selected from C1 to 20 alkyl group, C3 to 20 cycloalkyl group, C1 to 20 alkylsilyl group, C1 to 20 halo alkyl group, C6 to 20 aryl group, C7 to 20 arylalkyl group, C6 to 20 arylsilyl group, C7 to 20 alkylaryl group, C1 to 20 alkoxy group, C1 to 20 alkyl siloxy group, C6 to 20 aryloxy group, halogen group, and amino group; the B1 and the B2 are identical or different and are bridging group containing group 13 to 16 elements on the periodic table; the n is the integer of 1 to 0; and the Ar1 and the Ar2 are identical or different and are aryl group.
