    • A silicon spacer for an LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to remove a process for depositing silicon and double-sided tape by integrating a film and silicon through chemical adhesion, thereby reducing equipment cost and improving productivity. An adhesive layer is formed on one surface of a film by directly applying an adhesive or attaching double-sided tape(S100'). One surface of the film is reformed by corona discharge, direct heat treatment, or plasma(S100). A primer is applied on the reformed surface of the film(S200). An adhesive layer is formed on the other surface of the film by directly applying an adhesive on the other surface of the film or attaching double-sided tape(S300'). Liquid silicon is applied on the treated surface of the film and hardened to bond the film with the silicon chemically to integrate the film with the silicon(S300).

    • An embossing shaped spacer for an LCD is provided to bond silicon and a film in a chemical method for increasing adhesive force and durability, thereby preventing the occurrence of defect rates. An LCD spacer(40) is integrated on one surface of a film(42) by addition-curability of a liquid silicon(43). Embossings(44) are formed on the integrated silicon. The silicon is formed with 10 to 40 phr of silica, 3 to 10 phr of crosslinker, 1 to 5 phr of sealant, 100 to 500 ppm of retarder, 5 to 20 phm of catalyst, and 100 to 300 phr of flame retardant for 100 phr of vinyl terminated polydimethyl siloxane. The film is one selected from a group of PE, PET, PI, and urethane. The LCD spacer includes an adhesive layer(41) which is deposited by an adhesive, or a double-sided tape layer(41).
