    • PURPOSE: A method for producing chromium picolinate(PicH) is provided, thereby rapidly producing the high purity of chromium picolinate at relatively low temperature. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing chromium picolinate(PicH) comprises the steps of: dissolving chromium chloride(CrCl3·xH2O) and picolinate in water; heating the mixed solution at 40 to 60 deg. C and 800 to 100 mmHg for 5 to 15 minutes; and adding zinc oxide(ZnO) into the mixture to neutralize the mixture, wherein the picolinate is added in the amount required to be reacted with the chromium chloride; and the zinc oxide(ZnO) is added in the amount required to neutralize all the acid produced.

    • PURPOSE: A process of preparing an animal feed supplement composition by using a metal sulfate salt or organomineral as an intermediate diluent and elvan as a carrier is provided. Because chromium picolinate used has excellent dispersibility and the animal feed supplement composition is stable and contains mineral, the composition has an effect on promoting the growth of an animal. CONSTITUTION: Chromium picolinate(+3) powder is absolutely dried and finely ground to 10μm or less. Metal sulfate or organomineral with a particle size of 1 to 50μm is dispersed in the chromium picolinate(+) powder in a weight ratio of 1:3 to 5 to produce an intermediate, which is mixed with elvan with a particle size of 1 to 50μm in a weight ratio of 1:10 to 100 until it becomes a uniform mixture.
