    • The present invention relates to a wired and wireless IPTV service system and method, and more particularly, to a system that uses a time division multiplexing (TDM) technique to enable a user to simultaneously watch IPTV through a wired display device and a wireless communication terminal. The wired and wireless IPTV service system of the present invention includes an IPTV content server that transmits IPTV content to IP service subscribers; a set top box that transmits a broadcasting signal transmitted by the IPTV content server to the wireless communication terminal and the display device; the wireless communication terminal that outputs the broadcasting signal from the set top box after a certain authentication procedure using a wireless communication network; and the display device that displays the broadcasting signal from the set top box. According to the present invention, by linking the wireless communication terminal to the set top box, it is possible to watch the IPTV on the move, and by time-division multiplexing the broadcasting signal, there is an advantage in that it is possible to simultaneously watch the IPTV through the display device and the wireless communication terminal.
