    • PURPOSE: A language learning machine having a bilingual caption function is provided to improve the learning effect by displaying first and second letter information on a displaying window according to a selection of a user. CONSTITUTION: An interface unit(1) receives data from outside. A memory(2-2) stores the received data. A CD(Compact Disk) driving unit(2-1) reads a CD which records learning information. A decoder(3) decodes compressed data. A bit detecting unit(4) detects bits of the decoded data. A demodulating unit(5) decodes 14-bit format data into 8-bit format. An error processing unit(6) restores errors in data. A channel distributer(7) divides one streamed data into right and left audio channels. Two DAC(Digital-to-Analog Converter)/LP(Low Pass) filters(8-1, 8-2) convert a digital signal into an analog signal to filter it. A clock regenerator(9) regenerates a clock from a detected signal line. A decoding control and display unit(11) decodes letters data received from the demodulating unit(5) to display it on the displaying window. A letters selecting unit(12) receives a language selection of a user to control the decoding control and display unit(11).
