    • A method for manufacturing the high strength steel strip for packaging comprises pickling the carbon steel, whose non-ferrous composition is 0.20-0.35% C, 0.50-0.80% Mn, less than 0.15% Si, less than 0.040% P, and less than 0.050% S, by immersing into 5-12% H2SO4 solution for 5-15 min., neutralising with NaoH solution after water washing, drying completely, forming oxide film in lead bath, and colouring continuously the cold rolled and cutted steel strip. The treatment temperature and speed are respectively 430-470≦̸C and 40-50 m/min. The mechanical properties of the steel are 85 Kg/mm2 tensile strength, 7% elongation and Hv265 hardness.
