The piston core type bottom sampler combined with a water sampler comprises a weight part and a bottom sampling part. The weight part adjusts the weight by laminating weights, and has a first wire fastened in a hook at the top of a pillar pipe. A head having a vertically penetrated bottom sampling hole is assembled to the front end of a bottom sampling induction pipe assembled to the bottom of the pillar pipe of the weight part. The bottom sampling part has a check valve positioned between the pillar pipe and the head toward the pillar pipe, and a bottom sampling pipe having both ends being in contact with the check valve and the head. The piston core type bottom sampler combined with a water sampler comprises a ball valve installed in the middle of the bottom sampling hole of the head, and having a lever exposed to the outside of the head; and a second wire having the bottom fastened to the lever, and used when the ball valve is turned off and the bottom sampler combined with the water sampler is pulled. The second wire is entered into the pillar pipe through a wire guiding hole formed on the pillar pipe and is fixed on a latch positioned in the hook while being exposed to the upper part of the pillar pipe. The top of the second wire is fixed on a winder installed in a ship.

    • The present invention relates to a piston core type bottom sampler for sampling sediments, such as mud, sand, and others under the water and, more specifically, to a piston core type bottom sampler capable of increasing the sampling efficiency of sediments by forming a core catcher of the combination of isosceles triangular catcher members, reducing damage, providing the convenience of maintenance, and extending life longer. The piston core type bottom sampler comprises a weight part for controlling the weight by piling weights, and a bottom sampling part. The bottom sampling part comprises: a head with a bottom sampling hole formed on the front end of a bottom sampling guide pipe assembled under the weight part; a check valve positioned toward a supporting pipe between the supporting pipe and the head; a bottom sampling pipe having both ends being in contact with the check valve and the head; and the core catcher installed inside the head. The core catcher installed inside the head comprises: a lower member supported by a holding sill formed on the head, and having an inlet hole formed at the center with the same diameter as the bottom sampling hole formed on the head and a ring-shaped coupling protrusion part formed thereon; a catcher formed of the combination of the isosceles triangular catcher members coupled to the coupling protrusion part of the lower member to be rotated; and an upper member having the bottom coupled to the edge of the lower member, and a tapered hole with a diameter gradually narrowed upward to restrict the upward rotation angle of the catcher members.
