    • PURPOSE: A high strength wire rod and a Cu-Ni-Mn-Sn-Al alloy for plate, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to obtain the solid solution strengthening effect by adding some of Ni and an other solid solution element of inexpensive Mn besides a main additive element of Ni, and obtain the spinodal decomposition reinforcing effect by adding Sn in proportion to the content of Ni. CONSTITUTION: The high strength wire rod and the Cu-Ni-Mn-Sn-Al alloy for plate comprises 1.0 to 5.0 wt.% of Ni, 2.1 to 5.0 wt.% of Mn, 4.0 to 8.0 wt.% of Sn, 0.1 to 1.0 wt.% of Al, and a balance of Cu. The method for manufacturing the high strength wire rod and the Cu-Ni-Mn-Sn-Al alloy for plate comprises alloy material laying up and charging process, melting process, alloying process, rod and plate continuous casting process, solution heat treatment process and aging treatment process, wherein an ingot in a shape of a rod having a small diameter or a plate in which cold forming processing is possible is manufactured by the continuous casting method in the alloy manufacturing process, and the forming processing is made in the cold processing method in all processes.
