    • The system of a closed type, increases ignition output power of the ignition plug for improving fuel efficiency and redycing air pollution from exhaust gas, and keeps a constant value of ignition power regardless of changes of battery voltage or engine speed for preventing deterioration of engine performance. The system comprises DC-DC converting circuit using IC (3), thyristor (19) for charging, condenser (16), ignition coil (20), an electric discharging circuit including IC (3) and transistors (7)(8)(9)(10), and choke coil (15) for keeping SCR (14).

    • The capacitor discharge ignition system (CDI system) uses a Darlington transistor module having the high with sand surge voltage characteristic to simply the circuit, and the scr trigger circuit as a constant voltage IC so that the capacitor charge voltage is adjustable arbitrarily and the charge time of the capacitor is shortened. The CDI system generates the constant ignition output regardless to the variations of battery voltage and engine speed to prevent the efficiency drop as the engin speed is increased. The condensor is charged by the current provided from the thyristor (18) for shortening the charge time and for detecting the voltage of the capacitor. A feedback loop is formed to maintain the voltage of capacitor to a certain level, which complets the charge.
