摘要： The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing the falling of an elevator which elevates people or freight to a higher floor by being installed in a tall building and more specifically, to an apparatus for preventing the falling of an elevator in order to prevent damage to human life and property in advance by preventing the falling of the elevator by driving the fall prevention apparatus installed in the elevator when a wire raising the elevator is cut off. The elevator fall prevention apparatus by the present invention includes: a frame which ascends and descends along an elevator rail; a tow bar which slides up and down along the upper tow rod of the frame and has a wire combining part; a compression roller which is able to rotate by being connected to a cover formed in upper both sides of the frame; a braker of a triangle shape which is positioned between the compression roller and the guide rail; a drive shaft which is combined with the tow bar at one end by a pin, is combined with the braker at the other end by a pin, and is combined with the cover at a middle part by a hinge; and a tension coil spring which is coupled with the frame at one end, is coupled with the drive shaft at the other end, and pulls the drive shaft.
