Then, the movable beam 39 is lowered to place anew the workpiece W on the workpiece support shelf 22 of the heat treatment rack 19, and the plate-shaped workpiece W is transferred between the heat treatment racks 19 with a carrying rack 55.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a heat treatment apparatus which solves a problem of temperature drop at a part near a furnace entrance part without demerits of scale-up of the heat treatment apparatus or high cost of heating facility. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a furnace(1) in which a heat treatment chamber (R) is formed; an opening and closing shutter(5) installed at a furnace entrance part to feed or discharge a work (P) to be processed; a hot blast supply means(2) installed with being parallel to the furnace entrance part(4) directed to the other end side from one end side of the heat treatment chamber to supply hot blast into the furnace, wherein the apparatus further comprises a blast volume adjusting means(19) for adjusting blast in such a way that volume of hot blast is increased at a part near the furnace entrance part, wherein the blast volume adjusting means comprises an ejection plate(21) installed at one end side of the heat treatment chamber, and a suction plate(22) installed at the other end side of the heat treatment chamber, wherein an opening ratio of the ejection plate at a part near the furnace entrance part is 80 to 100 %, and an opening ratio of the ejection plate at a part except the part near the furnace entrance part is 20 to 60 %, wherein an opening ratio of the suction plate at a part near the furnace entrance part is 80 to 100 %, and an opening ratio of the suction plate at a part except the part near the furnace entrance part is 6 to 18 %, wherein a certain gap (S) is formed between the ejection plate and the inner surface of furnace wall of the furnace entrance side so that an opening ratio of the ejection plate at a part near the furnace entrance part is maintained to 100 %, and a certain gap (S) is formed between the suction plate and the inner surface of the furnace wall of the furnace entrance side so that an opening ratio of the suction plate at a part near the furnace entrance part is maintained to 100 %, and wherein a wind tunnel(24) is installed along the furnace inner surface of the opening and closing shutter at the furnace inner side of the opening and closing shutter to move hot blast.
