    • A gasification melting equipment and method of feeding air for combustion in a melting furnace of gasification melting equipment, devised to prevent sticking of clinker to a superior area internal wall of primary combustion chamber of melting furnace. The gasification melting equipment (10) comprises a gasification furnace (20), a melting furnace (30) capable of combusting pyrolysis gas contained in produced gases therefrom and also converting ash contents to a fused slag and a gas duct (40) for guiding the produced gases within the gasification furnace (20) to a produced gas introduction port of the melting furnace (30). The produced gas introduction port of the melting furnace (30) is provided on a superior area side wall of primary combustion chamber (31) thereof. The gas duct (40) in the vicinity of the produced gas introduction port is provided with primary combustion air supply nozzles (41a-41c, 42a-42c) for supply of combustion air amounting to 70% or more of the total quantity of combustion air for the primary combustion chamber of the melting furnace (30).

To facilitate the regulation of the basicity to a proper value without the need to use a special analyzer for a slag composition in the operation of a gasification melting furnace. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] 1. In a gasification melting furnace, the operation of a burner of the melting furnace is stopped when the operation state satisfies a predetermined requirement. Thereafter, when the temperature in the vicinity of the burner is lowered to a predetermined temperature, the supply of a waste material from a dust feeder to the gasification furnace is stopped. This burner is reignited when the concentration of oxygen in gas in the outlet of the gasification furnace is increased by stopping the supply of the waste material to the gasification furnace. 2. The basicity of slag discharged from a slag-discharge port in a melting furnace is adjusted by supplying a basicity adjuster from an apparatus for supplying the basicity adjuster. Correlation between a parameter corresponding to the calorific value of the waste material per unit weight and the slag basicity is used to determine the amount of the basicity adjuster supplied.
