    • PURPOSE: A magnetic disk device is provided to improve electric properties while reducing transmission loss in a transmission line, and to improve vibration properties by reducing rigidity of a wiring portion around a head, thereby realizing impedance flatness of the transmission line. CONSTITUTION: A transmission line(21e) mounted on a suspension(19) consists of a recording side line(21W) formed with a pair of conductors(30) and a reproducing side line(21R) formed with a pair of conductors(31). A lower conductor(34) is installed under an insulating layer(33) formed under the conductors(30,31) of the recording side lines(21W) and the reproducing side lines(21R). The lower conductor(34) is formed with copper alloy, while the insulating layer(33) is made of polyimide resin. The lower conductor(34) is electrically grounded.

    • PURPOSE: A thin film magnetic head is provided, which decreases a change and a noise of a reproducing output when reproducing. CONSTITUTION: The thin film magnetic head comprises: a lower magnetic core (1) to be formed on a substrate; an upper magnetic core (2) to be oppositely installed to the lower magnetic core (1); a coil (187) to be arranged between the lower magnetic core (1) and the upper magnetic core (2); and an insulating layer for insulating the lower magnetic core (1), the upper magnetic core (2) and the coil (187) each other, wherein a front end portion of the lower magnetic core (1) and the upper magnetic core (2) has an identical width with a track width near a magnetic gap film (3) and a rear end portion of the lower magnetic core (1) and the upper magnetic core (2) has a greater width than the front end portion. Thereby, it is possible to decrease the change and the noise of the reproduction output in the thin film magnetic head with a magnetic resistor effect type.
