    • PURPOSE: An invariable image watermark using Zernike moments is provided to obtain RST(Rotation, Scale and Translation)-invariant property and reduce an execution error. CONSTITUTION: A watermark signal is generated using Zernike moments. The generated watermark signal is added to a cover image in a spatial area after a restoration process. A feature vector is extracted from a corrected image and the extracted feature vector is used as a watermark. The watermark is detected by comparing calculated Zernike moments of a test image with a given watermark vector. Rotation-invariant is acquired by obtaining an absolute value of the Zernike moments. An image normalizing method is used for scale and translation invariant.

The noise signal E and the watermark signal W are mixed with each other by using a mixing function to make a new signal similar to the noise signal E in a method including the higher self-similarity. The noise signal E extracted from the initial image is replaced by the new signal having the mixed self-similarity. An embedded watermark is extracted from the watermarked image by using a filter. An autocorrelation function of the extracted watermark is calculated. The extracted watermark signal has the original direction and the size by a peak pattern of the autocorrelation function. A watermark is detected from the adjusted function.
