    • The present invention provides an automatic backfire protector of a gas fired facility comprising: a housing; a gas supply pipe and a gas discharge pipe connected inside and outside the housing; a backfire prevention unit connected and provided between the gas supply pipe and the gas discharge pipe to prevent the spread of backfire flames; and a control unit configured to control various motors and solenoid valves provided in the facility so as to control the flow of gas, wherein the backfire prevention unit is connected and provided between the gas supply pipe and the gas discharge pipe, and a rotary shaft connected to a driving device is provided on the internal space, thereby preventing backfire by an air blast generated by rotation of the rotary shaft. According to the present invention, the supply of gas can be blocked by sensing backfire flames quickly and accurately, the internal spread and explosion of flames can be prevented, and backfire flames can be treated and removed quickly and safely.

    • PURPOSE: A tip assembly for a torch is provided to prevent flames from flowing into the passage of a tip body because the end of the passage is blocked by an external object. CONSTITUTION: A tip assembly for a torch comprises a tip body(2) and a bypass unit(4). A passage(L) is formed inside the tip body. One end of the tip body is connected to the head part(T1) of a torch(T). The bypass unit is composed of a protrusion or groove so that the end of the passage of the tip body can be connected to the outside. The bypass unit secures a bypass gap at a point corresponding to the other end of the tip body.

A flame arrester of hydrogen oxygen mixture fuel comprises a back fire distribution unit(10), a pair of water strainers(20), an over-drain pipe(30), and an outer tank. The back fire distribution unit includes a fuel conveying pipe(12) and a back fire conveying pipe(14). The fuel conveying pipe is installed with a fuel check valve(12a) to convey hydrogen oxygen mixture fuel in one way. The back fire conveying pipe is installed with a flame check valve(14a) to shut off hydrogen oxygen mixture fuel and to pass only flame flown back with high pressure. The water strainer includes an upper pipe(22), a lower pipe(24), and an inner tank(26). The upper pipe is connected to the fuel conveying pipe and the back fire conveying pipe. The lower pipe is separated from the upper pipe. The inner tank accommodates the upper and lower pipes and contains water therein. The over-drain pipe connects the lower pipes of the water strainer with each other and includes over darin valves(32) and outlets(34). The over-drain valve is open when pressure excesses a set pressure. The outer tank accommodates the water strainer and stores water through a water inlet(42). The fuel check valve is opened by the pressure lower than those of the flame check valve and the over-drain valve. The upper and lower pipes and the inner tank in the water strainer is provided with a plurality of holes(20a) to be communicated with the outer tank.

    • PURPOSE: A flashback arrestor for use with a head of an oxygen-fuel torch is provided to facilitate use and replacement of the arrestor by restricting transmission of flashback to the head. CONSTITUTION: Flashback protection is provided in or proximate a head(22) of a cutting torch by a fitting, which is in the form of an adapter or a cutting tip for mounting to the head. The fitting includes a body(24,26) and a porous structure(30) preferably supported by the body and distinct from the body. The porous structure has a multiplicity of convolute passageways extending for restricting flashback. An end of the body is inserted into the head cavity when mounting the body to the head and withdrawn from the head cavity when dismounting the body from the head. The body defines at least one oxygen passageway adapted to be in communication with an oxygen port for receiving oxygen from the oxygen port while the body is mounted to the head, and the fitting defines at least one fuel passageway adapted to be in communication with a fuel port for receiving fuel from the fuel port while the body is mounted to the head. The porous structure is integrated with the fitting such that the porous structure moves with the body when the body is moved from being completely separate from the head to be mounted to the head and when the body is being moved from being mounted to the head to be completely separated from the head.
