      본 발명은 송신전력세기에 따른 에스에이알(SAR, Specific Absorption Rate) 값을 저장하는 단계와; 음성통화를 수행하는 중 에스에이알 값의 조절을 요청받으면, 상기 요청된 에스에이알 값에 해당하는 송신전력세기를 검색하는 단계와; 기저장된 최적조건 알고리즘에 따라 최종송신전력세기를 결정하는 단계와; 상기 결정된 최종송신전력세기가 알에프(RF, Radio Frequency) 특성 규약을 만족하는지 확인하여, 상기 최종송신전력세기에 따라 송신신호의 이득을 조절하는 단계를 포함하는 방법을 구비하여 구성된다.
      따라서, 본 발명은 이동통신 단말기를 통해 음성통화를 수행하는 중 사용자가 판단하기에 음성통화가 원할한 범위 내에서 해당 단말기로부터 방출되는 전자파의 세기인 에스에이알(SAR, Specific Absorption Rate) 값을 조절하고 그에 따라 기지국으로 송신되는 신호의 세기를 결정함으로써, 불필요하게 송신신호의 세기가 증가하여 에스에이알 값(SAR)이 커지는 것을 방지하여, 전자파에 민감한 사용자에게 해당 단말기의 외부로 방출되는 전자파로 인한 피해를 줄임과 아울러 최적의 통화품질을 제공하는 효과가 있다.

    • A receiver-specific regulation of transmission energy for a symbol for transmission, by adjustment of the symbol duration or by adjustment of the number of bits transmitted with the symbol, or a combination of both measures, each using a given transmission power, is disclosed. The result of the given measures for adjustment of transmission energy is an adjustment of the symbol duration per bit, hence of the ratio of the symbol duration to the number of bits contained therein. The adjustment is limited by the maintenance, in one of the alternative methods, of a value for the error recognition rate below an upper threshold for a corresponding receiver when using the given transmission power. Said transmission method can describe the marking of the limit of the power management method and also for energy management in the form of a bit duration management (BDM). The above provides a significant difference to conventional methodology, describing a completely new network organisation, defined as Energy Budget Management.

    • Techniques for determining valid (i.e., supported) TFCs from among all configured TFCs for normal and compressed modes. These techniques maintain sufficient historical information such that "TFC qualification" may be accurately performed. In a first scheme, Tx_power_requirement states are maintained for different combinations of each TFC. One combination is applicable for each TFC at each TFC interval, and valid TFCs are determined from applicable combinations in the proper state(s). In a second scheme, two Tx_power_requirement states are maintained for each TFC for the normal and compressed modes. In a third scheme, a single Tx_power_requirement state is maintained for each TFC for both modes based on a particular relative power requirement. In a fourth scheme, Tx_power_requirement states are maintained for a set of relative "bins" that cover the total range of required transmit power for all TFCs. And in a fifth scheme, a set of relative power requirement thresholds are maintained.

    • PURPOSE: A method for compensating a transmission output in a mobile communication terminal is provided to obtain a uniform output without the influence of temperature by controlling a PAM(Power Amplification Module) according to a temperature correction value when the mobile communication terminal is operated. CONSTITUTION: A CPU measures a maximum output value of a mobile communication terminal and an input power of a PAM, and sets a desired maximum output value. The CPU calculates the difference of the maximum output value and the desired maximum output value, and obtains a correction value. The CPU stores the correction value about each temperature in an internal memory. When the mobile communication terminal is operated, the CPU measures an internal temperature, and reads a correction value corresponding to the measured temperature from the internal memory. The CPU adds the read correction value to an input voltage, and provides the added voltage as a control voltage of the PAM.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a continuous outer power control loop is provided to control the outer power control loop regardless of data, by tabling frame error rates for signal-to-noise(SN) ratios, and by referring to the tabled frame error rates to decide whether frames have errors when the data is not transmitted in a discontinuous transmission mode of a code division multiple access(CDMA) communication system. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a continuous outer power control loop comprises a cyclic redundancy check(CRC) error detector(925), a frame detector(924), a signal-to-noise ratio calculator(919), a data detector(927), and a frame error detector(929). If a frame is received, the CRC error detector checks an error of the frame to output a checked result. The frame detector measures energy of the frame to output the frame. The signal-to-noise ratio calculator calculates signal-to-noise ratios to output the ratios. The data detector receives the checked result and the frame energy to generate an existing frame flag message. The flag message presents whether a frame exists or not. If a frame received by the flag message exists, the frame error detector outputs the checked result to the outer power control loop. If the frame does not exist, the frame error detector estimates a frame error by the signal-to-noise ratios.
