According to the present invention for the effects above, the variable displacement hybrid compressor comprises: a housing part forming the appearance of the compressor, having a driving shaft installed to penetrate the center thereof, and having an installation space, a crank chamber, a refrigerant suction chamber, and a refrigerant discharge chamber therein; the electric motor installed inside the installation space of the housing part, and having a rotor and a stator; a compression part installed inside the housing part, and having a swash plate and a piston; and the inverter part installed between the installation space and the crank chamber or at the front side of the installation space among the inner spaces of the housing part, and having various circuit components for controlling the operation of the electric motor, wherein the crank chamber is positioned at the rear side of the installation space, the refrigerant suction chamber and the refrigerant discharge chamber are positioned at the rear side of the crank chamber, the rotor is installed on the driving shaft, the stator is fixed to wall of the installation space, the swash plate is rotated by being coupled to the driving shaft, and the piston connected to the swash plate compresses a refrigerant inside a piston chamber by reciprocating inside the piston chamber.
