CONSTITUTION: A clutch plate(10) for an automatic transmission clutch comprises an oil groove(17). The oil groove is formed into a circular arc shape along the direction of rotation(R1) of the clutch plate. Both sides of the oil groove comprise opening portions headed to the inner and outer side of the clutch plate. The oil groove is composed of an oil storing passage(17a) and an oil outflow passage(17b). The oil storing passage is formed in a thick portion of the clutch plate. The oil outflow passage connects the surface of the clutch plate and the oil storing passage. The width(M1) of the oil storing passage is wider than that(M2) of the oil outflow passage.
