    • A structure of an electronic key for vehicle security is provided to exclusively permit an authenticated user of a vehicle to insert the key into a key cylinder and start an engine by using a rotating unit and a locking member. An electronic key structure comprises an ignition knob body(200) provided at a front end of a key cylinder(100). An ignition knob rotator(300) is provided at a front end of the ignition knob body. The ignition knob rotator includes an actuator(320) which operates based on a driving signal. A rotating unit is parallel to an axial direction of the key cylinder in the ignition knob body, and changes a key insertion possible state into a key insertion impossible state according to the moved position. A locking member(310) is biased from the axial direction of the key cylinder in the ignition knob rotator. A controller(400) drives the actuator to move the locking member.

    • An electronic steering column lock apparatus is provided to reduce the size and the weight thereof by locking or unlocking a steering column through a simple control operation. An electric steering column lock apparatus comprises a case(3) installed at a side of a steering column(1). A lock bar(7) is installed in the case, and a lock groove(9) is formed in the steering column so that a front end of the lock bar is inserted into the lock groove. A spring(11) elastically supports the lock bar against the steering column. A moving restriction member restricts the linear movement of the lock bar. A position detecting member detects a position of the lock bar. A controller(13) controls the moving restriction member by receiving a control signal from an exterior and a signal from the position detecting member.

A shock absorbing member(140) is inserted in the slot and provided with a sliding guide facing the sliding unit.

A second cam (19) for actuating the securing element (7) supportedly mounted on the first control contour (12) or on a second separate control contour (62) is also arranged on the worm gear (10) in such a way that prior to the displacement of the blocking element (5) from the unlocking position to the locking position, the securing element (7) being in the rest position is pivoted or displaced in the released position and, only afterwards, the first control contour (12), enables the blocking element (5) to be displaced to the locking position.
