    • 본 발명은 액상 농축 N-메틸모폴린 N-옥사이드(NMMO)에 0.1 내지 10중량%의 폴리비닐알콜을 먼저 소량 용해시킨 다음, 상기 용액과 셀룰로오스 분말을 압출기로 공급하여 압출기 내에서 혼합, 팽윤 및 용해시켜 균질한 셀룰로오스 용액을 제조하고, 이를 방사노즐을 통해 압출 방사한 후, 공기층을 통과하여 응고욕에 도달한 다음 이를 응고, 수세, 건조 및 유제 처리하여 권취하는 단계를 포함하는 셀룰로오스 섬유의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
      이는 액상 농축NMMO에 소량의 폴리비닐알콜을 용해시켜 NMMO의 융점이 낮아지는 효과로 인하여, 비교적 낮은 온도에서 NMMO 용액을 압출기에 공급할 수 있다. 상기 설명한 이유로 인하여 넓은 공정 온도범위가 가능할 뿐만 아니라 또한 낮은 온도에서 셀룰로오스 분말과 NMMO 용액을 원활히 팽윤시킬 수 있으므로, 종래의 고온의 농축액상 NMMO 사용시 셀룰로오스 분말 표면에 피막이 생성되는 현상을 방지할 수 있어, 최종적으로는 저온에서도 균질한 셀룰로오스 용액을 제조할 수 있다.
      또한 방사시 저온 균질한 셀룰로오스 용액을 사용함으로써, 압출기 내에서 셀룰로오스가 고온에서 분해되는 특성을 억제시켜 유연성과 강도가 우수한 셀룰로오스 섬유를 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 셀룰로오스 섬유 내에 소량의 폴리비닐알콜을 함유하고 있어 특히 내피브릴성과 접착력이 우수하다.

    • PURPOSE: Lyocell dip cord and a tire manufactured with the dip cord are provided to have excellent adhesive force to rubber, strength and modulus by preparing a homogeneous cellulose solution. CONSTITUTION: The dip cord for a tire is manufactured by the steps of: (A) dissolving 0.1-3wt% of cellulose powder(2a) in a concentrated N-methyl morpholine-N-oxide(NMMO) solution(1); (B) supplying the NMMO solution(3) and cellulose powder(2b) to an extruder(4) and preparing a swelled and homogenized cellulose solution through the extruder(4) to give dispersing, mixing, shearing, kneading, dissolution, and measuring performances; (C) extrusion-spinning the cellulose solution through a spinning nozzle, passing it through air gap to be solidified in a coagulating bath, and obtaining multi-filaments; (D) washing, drying, and oil-treating the obtained filaments to be wound; and (E) twisting the wound yarn through a twister to produce raw cord, and then weaving it to be dipped into a dipping solution. The dip cord is characterized by: (1) 14.0-35.0kg of breaking loading; (2) 3,000-6,000 denier of fineness; (3) more than 80% of fatigue resistance; (4) 10.0-15.0kg of adhesive force to rubber; (5) 0.30-0.95 of twist constant; and (6) sum of elongation at 4.5kg and dry heat shrinkage(E-S): 1.0-4.0.

    • PURPOSE: Lyocell mono filament and lyocell multi filament are useful for a lyocell tire cord having excellent dimensional stability and heat resistance. CONSTITUTION: Lyocell mono filament is characterized by: (a) having 150-400g/d of initial modulus value and under 2% of elongation percentage at 3.0g/d of initial stress under a condition that the filament is dried; (b) having 2-5% of the elongation percentage at stress being bigger than the initial stress and being under 6.0g/d; and (c) being elongated from minimum 6.0g/d of tensile strength to a time that yarn is cut. Lyocell multi filament comprises the lyocell mono filament. The lyocell multi filament has 230-330g/d of the initial modulus value and 6.5-9.0g/d of tensile strength. A lyocell tire cord textile is obtained by twisting the lyocell multi filament with a twister to manufacture a raw cord, weaving textile out of the twisted filaments and dipping the textile into a dipping solution.

    • PURPOSE: A cellulose solution using N-methylmorpholine-n-oxide is provided to give complete dissolution of cellulose into a solvent by using minimized heat and shear rate in short time, and thus to give high homogeneity and minimized decomposition to the solution, which is suitably formed as various cellulose molded article, for example fiber, filament, film or tube. CONSTITUTION: The cellulose solution is produced by a continuous process which uses a mixed solvent of N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide(NMMO) and water, wherein the process comprises the steps of: (a) feeding solid NMMO which is prepared from liquid NMMO by using a twin screw type side feeder(1) in several seconds, to a twin screw extruder(3); (b) compressing and feeding a cellulose powder through the twin screw type side feeder(2); and (c) providing a swollen and homogenously mixed cellulose solution from the solid NMMO and cellulose powder by using a twin screw extruder in which the screws are arranged so as to have functions of dispersing, mixing, shearing, kneading, dissolution and measuring.

    • PURPOSE: Lyocell multi-filament for a tire cord has excellent physical properties like strength and modulus. A tire for a car manufactured out of the lyocell multi-filament has improved drive stability, dimensional stability and uniformity. CONSTITUTION: Lyocell multi-filament is obtained by the steps of: (i) dissolving powder mixed cellulose and PVA into a mixed solvent of N-methyl morpholine N-oxide(NMMO)/water to manufacture a dope; (ii) extrusion-spinning the dope through a spinning nozzle(2) containing many orifices; passing the fiber type dope through an air area to reach an upper conic coagulating bath(4), followed by coagulating the dope to manufacture multi-filament; (iii) supplying the multi-filament to a lower coagulating bath(8); changing an advance direction of the multi-filament to wash the multi-filament into a washing bath; and then (iv) drying, oiling and winding the washed multi-filament. The lyocell multi-filament has (1) 5-10g/d of strength, (2) 3-13% of elongation, (3) 200-400g/d of modulus, (4) 0.038-0.050 of birefringence, (5) 40-52 of crystallinity, (6) -0.5-3% of shrinkage, (7) at least 90% of tenacity maintenance rate after treating saturated steam of high temperature and (8) 1000-2500denier of fineness. The orifices have 100-300μm of diameter, 200-2400μm of length, 2-8 of rate(L/D) of the diameter and the length and 2.0-5.0mm of intervals between the orifices.
