    • PURPOSE: A girder module and a modular steel bridge having a truss type cell structure are provided to minimize the field construct period by employing standardized members which are manufactured in a factory. CONSTITUTION: A modular steel bridge having a truss type cell structure comprising a girder cell(12) is arranged on a pier to support a bottom plate which is arranged between girder modules. The girder cell has a truss type cross section and comprises a long plate part(a) and a short plate part(b) which are extended in parallel and a web part(c) which is extended at an angle with respect to the long and short plate parts.

    • A connector for a PHC pile wall is provided to close up a space between PHC piles quickly and easily, to improve constructability, to shorten a period of construction and to cut down on the cost of construction when forming a pile wall using PHC piles. A connector(100) for a PHC(pre-tensioned spun high strength concrete) pile wall, for forming a pile wall by connecting a PHC pile and an adjacent PHC pile, comprises a closure plate(110) installed to close up a space between a cylindrical PHC pile(200) and an adjacent PHC pile(210), and a pair of hanging plates(120,130) formed to be curved to have curvature corresponded to right and left sides of the closure plate, connected to two ends of the closure plate and provided with ∩-shaped fitting grooves(122,132) to be inserted and suspended on the top borders of the PHC piles.

A safety barrier(100), for changing the behavior of a cantilever beam of a post into the behavior of a simple beam by prestressing to a post buried under the ground with plastic hinges and a tension member, and preventing vehicles from running over and maximizing shock absorbing effect by guiding the plastic collapse behavior of a post, includes a post(10) buried under the ground to the appointed depth and formed in the structure of a cantilever beam supporting the whole structure of a safety barrier and bearing the horizontal impact load caused by direct collision or transferred from a guardrail with bending stiffness, a guardrail(30) installed to the post to resist vehicle collision with flexural tension, to make large plastic deformation at vehicle collision and to make partial replacement easy, a tension member(50) installed to the post to apply tensile force to change the horizontal impact load of the vehicle into tensile force, and a first plastic hinge(70) and a second plastic hinge(90) formed to the post to change the behavior of a cantilever beam of the post into the behavior of a simple beam at vehicle collision.
