    • PURPOSE: A Navicula incerta hydrolysate and an antioxidative composition containing the same are provided to enhance antioxidation. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing Navicula incerta hyrolysate comprises: a step of culturing Navicula incerta in an artificial seawater medium at 20 degrees celsius, pH 8.3+/-0.5 and 12:12 L:D; a step of filtering culture liquid of Navicula incerta, concentrating, and freeze-drying; a step of finely pulverizing Navicula incerta and mixing with distilled water; a step of adding cellulase and performing hydrolysis at 50 degrees celcius for 2 hours; a step of adding alkalase, alpha-chymotripsin, neutrase, papain, pepsin, pronase-E or trypsin; a step of adjusting pH concentration by 7; and a step of heating the hyrolysate in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. An antioxidative composition contains the hydrolysate as an active ingredient.

    • PURPOSE: Collagen from seaweed pipefish and a method for producing thereof are provided to obtain pepsin-soluble collagen and acid-soluble collagen with a metamorphic temperature of 34.8deg C and 35.1deg C, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing collagen from seaweed pipefish comprises the following steps: crushing the seaweed pipefish and suspending with caustic soda for obtaining an alkali-insoluble component; filtering the alkali-insoluble component, and washing the resultant with a neutral pH component; extracting the alkali-insoluble component with acetic acid and centrifugal separating; re-extracting the residue with the acetic acid; desalting the obtained surface liquid and centrifugal separating to obtain a precipitate; and dissolving the precipitate inside the acetic acid and dialyzing.

    • PURPOSE: A novel phloroglucinol derivative with an antiobesity activity isolated from Ecklonia cava is provided to suppress expression of PPAR gamma, SREBP1c, and C/EBP alpha. CONSTITUTION: An Ecklonia cava-derived phloroglucinol derivative has an antiobesity activity. The phloroglucinol derivative is 1-(3',5'-dihydroxyphenoxy)-7-(2'',4'',6-trihydroxyphenol)-2,4,9-trihydroxydibenzo-1,4-dioxin. A pharmaceutical composition for antiobesity contains the phloroglucinol derivative as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition further contains a carrier, excipient, and diluent. A health food composition for antiobesity contains phloroglucinol derivative as an active ingredient. The health food composition is manufactured in the form of tablet, capsule, powder, granule, liquid, or pill.
