CONSTITUTION: A method for efficiently manufacturing a mono-dispersed organic/inorganic hybrid particle comprises the following steps: producing a mono-dispersed polymer seed particle through dissolving a radically polymerizable monomer to a solvent, and dispersion or emulsion polymerizing; forming a mono-dispersed polymer cross-linking particle through a seed polymerization method using the seed particle, a polyfunctional cross linkable monomer, and the radically polymerizable monomer; adding a swelling-imparting solvent for swelling the mono-dispersed polymer cross-linking particle; adsorbing an inorganic particle to the mono-dispersed polymer cross-linking particle; and washing the shrink the swelled particle.

    • Disclosed is an organic-inorganic composite body exhibiting excellent adhesion to a base, while having a front surface of an extremely high hardness and an inside and a rear surface of an adequate hardness. Specifically disclosed is an organic-inorganic composite body characterized by mainly containing (a) a condensation product of an organosilicon compound represented by the following formula (I): RnSiX4-n (wherein R represents an organic group having a carbon atom directly bonded to Si; X represent a hydroxy group or a hydrolyzable group; and n represents 1 or 2. When n is 2, R's may be the same as or different from each other; and when (4-n) is 2 or more, X's may be the same as or different from each other), and further containing (b) at least one photosensitive compound which is responsive to light having a wavelength of 350 nm or less and selected from the group consisting of metal chelate compounds, metal organic acid salt compounds, metal compounds having two or more hydroxy groups or hydrolyzable groups, hydrolysis products of them and condensation products of them, and/or a compound derived from such a photosensitive compound, and (c) a cured product of an ultraviolet-curable compound.
