摘要： PURPOSE: A vibration detecting apparatus of a spindle belt for a machining center and a method thereof are provided to protect a spindle, and to prevent breakage of the machine tool by checking tension of the belt according to vibration of the spindle belt and stopping the spindle. CONSTITUTION: A vibration detecting device of a spindle belt comprises a vibration detecting unit(110) detecting vibration of the belt; an input setting unit(150) providing reference frequency data of the belt; and a control unit(140) comparing the belt frequency from the vibration detecting unit with the reference frequency from the input setting unit, and stopping operation of the machine tool by turning off a relay switch of an emergency circuit line at the measured frequency of the belt to be beyond the reference frequency. Breakage of the machine tool is prevented by checking the tension of the belt in rotating the belt.
