    • PURPOSE: A metallic material for rheocasting or thixoforming is provided which is manufactured by cooling the molten metal after injecting molten metal into a contained under the electromagnetic field, and a method for manufacturing the metallic material for rheocasting or thixoforming is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing a metallic material for rheocasting or thixoforming comprises a step of injecting molten metal into the container after impressing electromagnetic field to a container; and a step of forming a metallic material for rheocasting or thixoforming by cooling the molten metal, wherein the electromagnetic field is impressed to the container before the molten metal is injected into the container, wherein the electromagnetic field is impressed to the container at the same time when the molten metal is injected into the container, wherein the electromagnetic field is impressed to the container while the molten metal is being injected into the container, wherein impression of the electromagnetic field is finished at a time when a solid phase ratio of the molten metal reaches 0.001 to 0.7, wherein the metallic material is metallic slurry or billet type, wherein temperature of the molten metal during injection of the molten metal is higher than liquidus temperature of the molten metal, and it is the same as or less than the liquidus temperature + 100 deg.C, wherein the method further comprises the step of secondly forming the metallic material after the cooling step, and wherein the cooling step comprises the step of cooling the molten metal until the molten metal reaches a solid phase ratio of 0.1 to 0.7.

    • PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an integral type bearing cap assembly using semi-solid forming is provided to reduce weight of the bearing cap assembly as securing mechanical strength thereof and reduce parts and process by integrally casting a bearing cap and a bearing cap bridge using aluminum alloy. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing an integral type bearing cap assembly using semi-solid forming comprises the steps of reheating a billet(10) in a melting furnace in the temperature range of 560 to 600 deg.C, a recrystallization temperature or less, for 3 to 6 hours so that crystal grain boundaries are in the semi-solid state; mounting the billet on a dies(15) and pressing the billet(10) after taking out from the melting furnace the billet(10) that is in the semi-solid state when a material to be processed has sufficient ductility and forming property; forming the material into a bearing cap assembly by pressing the material to be processed with a ram(12); separating left and right dies(15) to separate the bearing cap assembly; and performing heat treatment by water cooling the heated bearing cap assembly at 80 deg.C after heating the bearing cap assembly at 450 deg.C for 10 hours, and air cooling the heated bearing cap assembly at an ordinary temperature after heating the water cooled bearing cap assembly at 270 deg.C for 5 hours.

    • PURPOSE: An integral type semisolid forming apparatus is provided which simplifies overall forming apparatus by integrally installing a reheater at an injection molding machine, secures large installation space by reducing a setting area of the forming apparatus, and reduces cost since a slurry transfer robot is not needed. CONSTITUTION: The integral type semisolid forming apparatus(1) is characterized in that a reheater(10) is rotationally installed on the upper part of a base plate around a rotation shaft(13) which is horizontally installed, a plurality of heating furnaces(11) in each of which low frequency coils are installed are horizontally penetrated onto a circumference around the rotation shaft(13), a moving die(21) and a fixed die(23) are installed at one side of the upper part of the base plate so that a cavity(24) is formed inside the dies when the moving die(21) and the fixed die(23) are closed by a transfer cylinder(25), a sleeve(27) connected to the cavity(24) is installed at one side of the fixed die(23) so that the sleeve(27) is connected to one heating furnace(11) of the reheater(10) on the same line, and a pressing cylinder(29) pressing semi-solidified metal slurry of the heater(11) that is positioned on the same line as the sleeve(27) into the cavity(24) through the sleeve(27) is installed at the other side opposite to a side at which the sleeve(27) is installed.
