摘要： The present invention provides a novel ascorbic acid derivative as a provitamin C with improved stability in the body and prolonged life in the body compared to conventionally known 2-O-(α-D-glucopyranosyl) ascorbic acid. The composition comprising the novel compound 2-O-(β- D-glucopyranosyl)ascorbic acid has been extracted from plants such as from Ningxia Lycium barbarum L. and/or Lycium chinense Mill. The compositions comprising 2-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)ascorbic acid may be enzymatically synthesized using β-D-glucosyltransferase. Pure 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl)ascorbic acid may be produced from such compositions. Alternatively, 2-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)ascorbic acid may be produced by chemical synthesis. The 2-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl) ascorbic acid results in higher stability and a prolonged life of vitamin C when ingested in the body compared to the corresponding α-D- glucopyranosyl derivative, and is therefore highly suitable as a provitamin C to be used in cosmetics and foods.

摘要： Disclosed is a suspension of ascorbic acid in glycerin, wherein the content of ascorbic acid is 13 mass% or more, a part of ascorbic acid is dissolved in glycerin or glycerin containing diglycerin at a concentration of 8 to 12 mass%, and the remainder of ascorbic acid is precipitated in the form of a microcrystal having a particle diameter of 25 mum or less and dispersed homogeneously in the suspension. The suspension of ascorbic acid in glycerin is useful as a ascorbic-acid-containing cosmetic base material which is excellent in feeling during application (including a good spreadability and smooth touch during application onto the skin).

摘要： A cosmetic composition containing an ascorbic acid 2-glucoside and ergothioneine, which reduces or delays the skin aging, is provided to stimulate a repair enzyme of oxidized DNA in epidermis and dermis. A cosmetic composition comprises 0.0001 weight%-10 weigh% of ascorbic acid 2-glucoside, 0.0001 weight%-10 weight% of ergothioneine, and cosmetically allowable excipient. The cosmetic composition further comprises depigmenting agent or agent which reduces or delays the effect of skin aging. The depigmenting agent is vitamin B3, calcium D-pantetheine-S-sulphonate, liquorice extracts, ferulic acid, citrus unshiu extracts and diacetylboldine. The agent which reduces or delays the effect of skin aging is retinol, retinol ester, tocopherol derivatives, or asiaticoside. The cosmetic composition is used in a form of pressed powder, lotion, gel, serum, cream, patch, or mask.
