摘要： A method and an apparatus for improving a MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) operation are provided to increase the transmission rate of data as well as improving the MIMO operative efficiency. A first value is obtained based on the number of HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest) processes included in a HARQ procedure for a UE(User Equipment)(302). A first HARQ process ID corresponding to a primary transport block is obtained(304). A second HARQ process ID corresponding to a secondary transport block is assigned to be equal to (H+(N/2)) mod(N);wherein H represents the first HARQ process ID, mod represents modulus arithmetic, and N represents the first value(306). The obtaining the first value is performed by setting the first value to the number of HARQ processes included in the HARQ procedure of the UE when the number of the HARQ processes is an even integer between 2 and 16.

A method for improving configuration of serving grants for a user equipment in a wireless communication system includes the steps of: providing a scheduling grant table, setting a serving grant based on a reference value determined by an absolute grant message when the grant message is received(302); and before setting the serving grant, setting a maximum scheduling grant of the scheduling grant table to be larger than or equal to the optimum absolute grant which is indicated by the absolute grant message(304). The maximum absolute grant indicated in the absolute grant message is determined by the absolute grant comparison table.

In a method(30) for constructing packets for an MAC(Media Access Control) layer in a wireless communication system, the method comprises the following steps of: concatenating plural group PDUs(Packet Data Units), corresponding to one logic channel, and appending the concatenated plural group PUDs to a transmission PDU for a TTI(Transmission Time Interval)(302); and adding plural data description signals to the transmission PDU for the TTI(304).
