    • A method for preparing fine particles of LSX type zeolite which can be prepared within a short time, are excellent in ion exchange performance due to an FAU structure, a low Si/Al ratio and a large pore inlet, and have a size of crystalline particles capable of being commercially used as a builder in a detergent composition is provided. In a method for preparing fine particles of LSX type zeolite which have a FAU structure, an Si/Al ratio of 1.1 or less and a crystalline particle size of about 2 mum or less and comprise 70 to 100% of Na ions and 0 to 30% of K ions in cations, the method comprises: a step(i) of sequentially adding water and an alkaline raw material to an aluminum source to agitate and mix the materials, cooling the mixture, and slowly adding a silica raw material to the cooled mixture such that raw material components, SiO2, Al2O3, M2O(Na2O+K2O), K2O/M2O, and H2O, are mixed at a mixing ratio of 1.00:0.5 to 0.6:2.8 to 3.5:0.2 to 0.3:60 to 70; a step(ii) of heating the mixture to a temperature of 40 to 90 deg.C to crystallize the mixture less than 24 hours; a step(iii) of washing and drying the resulting crystalline particles; and an ion exchange step(iv) of increasing content of Na ions by repeatedly performing 1 to 5 times a process of injecting the generated crystalline particles into an aqueous NaCl solution of 1 to 3 M and treating the crystalline particles with the solution at 60 to 100 deg.C for 1 to 3 hours.
