    • PURPOSE: An organic dye is provided to achieve dramatically improved molar absorptivity, short-circuit photocurrent density (Jsc), and photoelectric conversion efficiency as compared to conventional dyes, and to enable refining even without using an expensive column, thereby significantly reducing the costs of the synthesis of dyes. CONSTITUTION: An organic dye has a structure represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1 is a functional group of chemical formula 1-a or 1-b; X and Y are independently hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl; R2-R5 are independently hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted C1-30 alkyl or C1-30 alkoxy; Ar is heteroaryl or C6-50 aryl substituted or unsubstituted with at least one C1-30 alkyl, C1-30 alkoxy, halogen, amide, cyano, hydroxyl, nitro, acyl, C6-30 aryl or heteroaryl group; Z and Z' are independently C1-6 alkyl; n is an integer of 1-10; and m and m' are an integer of 0-5.
