    • A novel 8-hydroxyquinoline thioamide compound is provided to show very high detection sensitivity on mercury ion and also complete a desulfurization reaction within 5 minutes, thereby being used as a selective chemodosimeter. An 8-hydroxyquinoline acetamide compound is represented by the formula(2) and is prepared by reacting an 8-hydroxyquinoline compound represented by the formula(1), 2-chloro-N,N-diethylacetamide, potassium carbonate and potassium iodide in an organic solvent under the inert gas atmosphere. In the formulae(1) and (2), X is S, O or NH; and each R1 and R2 is independently C1-4 linear or branched alkyl. An 8-hydroxyquinoline thioamide compound is represented by the formula(3)(wherein the X, R1, and R2 are same as defined above) and is prepared by reacting the 8-hydroxyquinoline acetamide compound with a Lawesson agent in an organic solvent. A method for selectively detecting mercury ion comprises the steps of: (a) dissolving the 8-hydroxyquinoline thioamide compound in water, acetonitrile or a mixture thereof; and (b) after adding a desired sample to the solution of the step(a), measuring a fluorescent spectrum generated by desulfurization between the mercury ion and the 8-hydroxyquinoline thioamide compound represented by a reaction formula(2)(wherein the X, R1, and R2 are same as defined above).

    • A digital broadcasting transmission system and a method therefor are provided to add a turbo stream without limiting a mixing rate by applying P2-VSB(Pseudo 2-Vestigial Side Band) coding to the turbo stream. An RS(Reed Solomon) encoder(130) encodes a dual transport stream in which a normal stream and a plurality of turbo streams are multiplexed. An interleaver(150) interleaves the encoded dual transport stream. A turbo processing unit(150) detects a turbo stream from the interleaved dual transport stream, and encodes the detected turbo stream. A trellis encoder(160) performs the P2-VSB coding of the turbo-processed dual transport stream, and performs the trellis encoding of the transport stream. A main multiplexer(200) adds a field synchronous signal and a segment synchronous signal to the trellis-encoded dual transport stream, and multiplexes the added transport stream.
