    • PURPOSE: An iterative decoding apparatus is provided to prevent the waste of the system resources by stopping the iterative decoding operations and skipping the processing delay according to an error check. CONSTITUTION: A first decoder(120) performs decoding operations with respect to a feedback information signal generated by plural input signals and decoding operations. Plural decoders performs decoding operations with respect to plural input signals and signals decoded and interleaved by the prior decoder. A deinterleaver(160) deinterleaves the output of a corresponding decoder and rearranges bit positions of an input signal in the original order. An error checker(190) checks whether errors exist in the decoding operations and outputs of the first decoder(120).

    • PURPOSE: A convolutional code processing apparatus is provided to obtain an improved BER by coding data inputted in puncturing period 9, code rate 1/3, and a particular producing polynomial. CONSTITUTION: A convolutional encoder encodes input data and has puncturing period 9, code rate 1/3, and a first mathematical formula of producing polynomial, a symbol eliminator periodically eliminates symbols except for the last symbol with respect to an output sequence of the convolution encoder, and the symbol eliminator uses a second mathematical formula of a puncturing matrix, to thereby obtain an improved BER by coding data inputted in puncturing period 9, code rate 1/3, and a particular producing polynomial.
