    • PURPOSE: Friction stir welding device is provided to rapidly and simply remove burrs formed on both end portion of a welded portion simultaneously with a friction stir welding task. CONSTITUTION: Friction stir welding device includes a welding tool (130) and a face cutter (110). The welding tool is mounted on a main shaft of friction stir welding equipment and performing the friction-stir-welding of a workpiece. The face cutter is fixed and mounted on a main shaft (M) by the welding tool and removes burrs formed on both sides of a welded portion in the friction-stir-welding. The face cutter includes a cutter body including a through-hole (114) and a plurality of cutting inserts (120) mounted in the circumference direction of the cutter body.

CONSTITUTION: A portable friction stir joining device comprises a joint(110), a sliding unit(130), a supporting unit(150), and a fixing unit(170). The joint comprises a pin and a spindle. The sliding unit is joined to the joint and comprises a plurality of sliding rollers(132) for horizontally moving the joint on the basis of the surface of a joining object. The fixing unit is formed in the lower end of the supporting unit in order to fix the supporting unit to the surface of the joining object.

CONSTITUTION: A fraction stir welding apparatus for preventing the oxidation of a base material comprises a spindle which rotates at high speed, a shoulder part(11) which is protruded outward at the bottom of the spindle, a pin(12) which is installed at the end of the shoulder part and inserted in the boundary of two or more base materials to bind the base materials, and a case(20) which surrounds the exterior of the spindle and emits protective gas therein to prevent the oxidation of welded portions.

    • An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a hollow piston is provided to uniformly form the mechanical strength of the hollow piston without forming an escaping section for preventing generation of a pin hole. An apparatus for manufacturing a hollow piston includes a hollow piston and a bonding tool(210). The hollow piston includes a first piston member having a first bonding section and a second piston member(120) having a second bonding section bonded to the first bonding section and engaged with the first piston member to form a hollow portion. The bonding tool bonds the first bonding section and the second bonding section of the hollow piston. The bonding tool includes a shoulder, a drive unit, a chuck member, a movement unit, and a frictional section. The frictional section has one of a ring shape, a spiral shape, and a fan shape.
