CONSTITUTION: A process for producing polyketone comprises a step of copolymerizing carbon monoxide and ethylenic unsaturated compound in a liquid medium in the presence of organometallic complex catalysts. The organometallic complex catalyst comprises (a) Group 9, 10 or 11 transition metal compounds, (b) a ligand with Group 15 elements and (c) negative ions of acid with 4 or less of pKa.

CONSTITUTION: A process for producing polyketone comprises a step of copolymerizing carbon monoxide and ethylenically unsaturated compound in the presence of (a) Group 9, 10, and 11 transition metal compounds, (b) ligand containing Group 15 element, and (c) organometallic complex catalyst consisting of acid ions with pKa of 4 or less in a liquid medium. The liquid medium is a mixed solvent consisting of acetic acid of 70~90 capacity % and water of 30~10 capacity %.

    • A process for producing polyketone is provided to improve the catalytic activity and the intrinsic viscosity. The process for producing polyketone comprises copolymerization of carbon monooxide and an ethylenically unsaturated compound in a liquid medium under the presence of a catalyst, wherein the catalyst is an organic metal complex comprised of a ligand having (a) a transition metal compound of 9th group, 10th group or 11th group and (b) an element of 15th group, the liquid medium is a mixture solvent comprised of 70-90 wt% of acetic acid and 10-30 wt% of water, and the (b) component having an element of 15th group is 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane.
