    • PURPOSE: A blend of poly lactic acid(PLA) and acrylonatrile butadiene styrene(ABS) is provided to improve mechanical strength, thermal property, and anti-hydrolysis property, and to be applicable as a substitute material of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene for automobile parts. CONSTITUTION: A polymer blend resin comprises 30~50 parts by weight polylactic acid, 40~60 parts by weight acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polycarbonate, and polyethylene terephthalate. A method for preparing the polymer blend resin comprises the steps of: mixing polylactic acid with polycarbonate; mixing acrylonitrile butadiene styrene with polyethylene terephthalate; mixing a mixture of polylactic acid and polycarbonate, with a mixture of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene with polyethylene terephthalate to prepare a polymer mixture; and extruding the polymer mixture.
