    • [PROBLEMS] To provide a stacked type solid electrolytic capacitor wherein a yield is remarkably improved by suppressing leak current increase and failures due to short-circuits without causing manufacturing cost increase and size increase, and to provide a method for manufacturing such stacked type solid electrolytic capacitor. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The stacked type solid electrolytic capacitor is provided with a plurality of capacitor elements (6), which have an aluminum foil (1) having an anode section (7) and a cathode section (8) wherein a dielectric oxide film (2) and a cathode layer (3) are successively formed on the surface of the aluminum foil (1). The anode sections (7) of the adjacent capacitor elements (6) are welded in a state wherein the capacitor elements (6) are stacked, and an anode terminal (12) is fixed by being welded on the anode section (7) of the capacitor element (6). The stacked type solid electrolytic capacitor having such structure is characterized in that a first stress relaxing slit (16) and a second stress relaxing slit (17) are formed on at least one of the welding planes of the anode section (7).
