    • PURPOSE: A tester of a heat flux measuring sensor is provided to test precision of heat flux by using a heat sink having an air duct and a blower fan. CONSTITUTION: A tester(30) of a heat flux measuring sensor includes a cartridge heater(32), an Al bar(34), a thermocouple(36) and a heat sink(38). The cartridge heater generates heat by power supply and transfers the heat to the Al bar. The Al bar is combined with the cartridge heater and attached to ceramic through a hole(42) of a steel plate(40). The Al bar has ceramic-coated(44) outside to insulate heat. The thermocouple is mounted at a measuring hole(46) for measuring heat flux. The heat sink has an air duct(48) for blowing air toward a side of the Al bar and a blower fan(50) for blowing air through the air duct. The thermocouple decides exact measurement of heat flux by air blowing through the heat sink. Therefor, the optimization test of a cooling system is performed as the measurement is applied to visualization test of the engine cooling system.

    • PURPOSE: A signal processing device of an optical fiber temperature sensor is provided to minimize an optical loss by using a long term grid as an optical filter, to enhance stability of measurement, and to reduce a producing cost by simplifying a system. CONSTITUTION: A light induced to an optical fiber(41) from a light emitting diode(40) is reflected. The center wavelength of the reflected light is changed by the change of the grating width due to the change of temperatures in an optical fiber Bragg diffraction grating(42). The reflected light is split into a signal light and a reference light by a coupler(43). The signal light is converted to an electrical signal in optical detectors(45,47) while the reference light is incident to the optical detectors to be converted to an electrical signal. The analog electrical signals converted by the optical detectors are amplified by amplifier(46,48), and then transmitted to a sound card. The sound card converts the analog signal to digital signals. A drive program removes the noise in the digital signals and operates the two signals to obtain the changed amount of temperatures. The result is displayed on a monitor. According to the constitution of an entire optical system with an optical fiber, optical loss is minimized. The stability of measurement against the environmental change and the reliability are enhanced.
