    • PURPOSE: A recording device and a control method thereof are provided to correct the discrepancy of an information recording location caused by surface wobbling in the focus direction of first light on the basis of information about an acquired surface wobbling estimated quantity. CONSTITUTION: A servo circuit(25) creates a focus servo signal and a tracking servo signal. The servo circuit performs the focus servo control and the tracking servo control for an object lens(17) by driving the focus coil and tracking coil of a biaxial actuator(18). A rotation control unit(28) controls the driving of a spindle motor(29). A controller(27) controls the focusing location of first laser beam on the basis of a set offset value.

    • PURPOSE: A recording device and a control method thereof are provided to correct the shifting of an information recording location in the tracking direction of first light on the basis of the information of acquired eccentricity estimation amount. CONSTITUTION: In start up operation, a recording device directs the execution of tracking servo control and focus servo control for a servo circuit(S101). The recording device acquires rotation angle information detected in a location information detector and the eccentricity estimation amount calculated in the servo circuit. The recording device creates information corresponding to a rotation angle and an eccentricity amount(S102). If recording start trigger occurs, the recording device directs eccentricity estimation amount depending on a current rotation angle to the servo circuit(S201,S202).

    • PURPOSE: A holographic information recording method is provided to secure uniform record quality of marks in wavelength multiplexing. CONSTITUTION: A hologram mark(10a) and a uniform mark(10b) are recorded alternately in a holographic information storage medium(190). The hologram mark has a refractive index profile being varied by a constructive/destructive interference of two beams. The uniform mark has a uniform refractive index profile compared to the hologram mark. The variation of thickness or refractive index of the uniform mark so that the phase change of the beam passing through the uniform mark is similar to the beam passing through the hologram mark.
