    • PURPOSE: A steel cord is provided to control the size and shape of sulfide formed in the curing process by regulating the copper content of the steel cord surface, thereby improving bonding ability. CONSTITUTION: A steel cord with improved durable bonding ability is formed of high tension steel wire coated with brass and vulcanized with rubber in a normal vulcanizing condition. Copper sulfide or zinc sulfide particles are formed on the bonding interface of the rubber and steel cord has a sheet-like or spherical structure. The sheet-like particle has a width of 10nm~1000nm, a length of 50nm~2000nm, and a thickness of 10nm~100nm. The spherical particle has a diameter of 10nm~2000nm.

    • A steel cord with the excellent rubber adhesive force is provided to make carbon nano materials include to the surface of the steel wire brass plate layer, thereby enhancing the adhesion force. When plating copper and zinc on a steel line sequentially, the carbon nano materials widely used as nano materials is dispersed into the zinc plating solution. When plating the zinc, the copper and zinc are plated simultaneously by the electrophoresis effect. The steel wire cord of carbon content of 0.7-0.9 wt% is produced and thereafter treated by heat at 900-1100 degrees centigrade. Thereafter, the surface of the steel line is plated by copper by using a general manner and then plated also mixedly by zinc again. When performing the mixed plating, the carbon nano materials with the density of 1.8-2.2 g/cm^2 and the semimetal property is mixed uniformly into the zinc sulfate plating solution and plated electrically so that the carbon nano material existing in the mixture plating layer is obtained by the electrophoresis effect.

    • The method for making steel cord is characterised by adding 0.01-5 wt.% metallic soap compound to hydrocarbon group mineral oil, and coating the brass-plated steel cord with the coating oil prepared by agitatedly dissolving the addition compound in twisting process of steel cord. The metallic soap compound consists of fine powders of 10-20μm selected from nickel stearate, cobalt stearate, nickel palmitate, cobalt palmitate. The steel cord is used as a reinforcing member of rubber product like tyre. The method enhances adhesion force between the rubber and the steel cord.
