    • An apparatus and a method for efficiently removing hydrogen sulfide generated when cooling blast furnace slag generated as a by-product in a process of producing pig iron in an ironmaking process of an ironworks is provided to lower an exhaust concentration of hydrogen sulfide to an allowable standard value of 10 ppm or less. A method for removal of hydrogen sulfide from blast furnace dry pit slag using amine compounds comprises removing hydrogen sulfide(H2S) using cooling water to which monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, diethylenetriamine, or a mixture thereof is added. The method further comprises spraying fine particles from an aqueous solution of monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, diethylenetriamine, or a mixture thereof through a blower(7) and a spray nozzle(9) to secondly remove hydrogen sulfide after primarily removing hydrogen sulfide using cooling water to which monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, diethylenetriamine, or a mixture thereof is added. The monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, diethylenetriamine, or a mixture thereof added to cooling water has a concentration of 200 to 500 ppm. The method comprises removing hydrogen sulfide using cooling water to which diethylenetriamine is added.

    • PURPOSE: A method for analyzing acid gas in CLAUS plant using gas chromatography is provided to precisely analyze ammonia, dihydrogen sulfide and water etc. which are major components of the acid gas to be treated in CLAUS plant with single injection without corrosion of the column. CONSTITUTION: A method for analyzing ammonia, dihydrogen sulfide and water etc. which are major components of the acid gas to be treated in CLAUS plant using gas chromatography comprises the following steps: a) preparing a column made of Teflon; b) packing Hysep Q at the top of the column by the length more than 2.0m and Porapak T at the bottom by the length more than 0.5m in the direction of the flow of the acid gas to be analyzed; c) pretreating the packed column by heating the column at 180-210°C with flowing inert gas; and d) passing the acid gas to be analyzed into the pretreated column and analyzing it.
