    • A thread tension regulator for a sewing machine is provided to inhibit the missing of a thread tensile shaft to a thread tension pole in spite of the operation of the compressed load. A thread tension device(10) includes a thread tension stand fixed to a sewing machine(1) frame. The thread tension stand has a bearing hole for receiving a thread tension shaft. Compression and compressed thread tension member(14,15) are mounted to the front of the thread tension shaft. A driving shaft is mounted to the thread tension shaft and presses the compression thread tension member. A driving solenoid moves the driving shaft toward the shaft direction and controls the thread tension by the compression thread tension member. A protrusion member is formed to the thread tension shaft and protruded from the rear of the thread tension stand through the bearing hole. An inhibiting member hooks and fixes the thread tension shaft to the rear of the thread tension stand.
